Turkmenistan is interested in intensifying cooperation with Bulgaria, based on equality and mutual benefit, Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

It is planned to hold regular meeting of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Bulgarian Commission for Economic Cooperation on July 3-4, in Ashgabat.

The meeting participants will identify steps to increase partnerships in trade and economic sphere, fuel and energy sector, transport and communications field, as well as construction and agriculture.

The projects of interstate treaties and agreements aimed at enhancing the legal framework of cooperation will also be considered within the framework of the intergovernmental commission `s meeting.

Ashgabat and Sofia periodically discuss the possibilities of Turkmen gas supplies to Bulgaria.

In particular, the point is about the ways of implementation of the project on laying Trans Caspian gas pipeline to the coast of Azerbaijan, where Turkmen gas can be delivered to Turkey, Bulgaria and other countries of the European continent.

Earlier it was reported that the Bulgarian companies offer their services in the field of exploration, development and transportation of hydrocarbon resources, as well as establishing appropriate pipeline infrastructure.
