The opening ceremony of the international customs terminal will be held soon in Ashgabat, Turkmen state television channel Altyn Asir said Sept.3.
According to information, this issue was raised at the regular meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan devoted to the results of the military and law enforcement agencies since the beginning of the year, to further strengthen their material and technical base.
It is also reported that the President, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov mentioned all measures to ensure the organized work of both new and existing customs terminals with all conditions for a thorough inspection of cargos passing through the border of Turkmenistan among the most urgent ones.
According to the information, the opening of the new Artik and Serah highways customs posts of Akhal velayat (regional) customs of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan is being prepared.
Turkmenistan has land borders with Kazakhstan, Iran, Russia, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and on the Caspian Sea with Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Iran.
