Mobile TeleSystems a leading telecommunication operator in Russia and the CIS countries, said that the subsidiary company MTS-Turkmenistan will launch a tariff plan starts by rendering 3G services from October 1.
"We are pleased to announce the launch of a new tariff plan SMART from October 1, 2014," the company said. "The main advantages - available 3G network in Ashgabat, Turkmenbashi and regional centers for all subscribers."
The tariff change is free.Earlier it was reported that MTS planned to deploy 3G network in Turkmenistan in 2013. The company intends to invest more than $ 40 million in the development of the network in the Central Asian country up to 2015. Russian MTS is currently the only foreign mobile operator in Turkmenistan.
