The cement plants of Turkmenistan produced over 3 million tons of cement in Jan.-Nov. 2015, which exceeded the annual plan, Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.
The following growth rates indicate the high dynamics of development in this field: the cement production in Turkmenistan increased by 3.8 times in 2007-2015.
Network of retail outlets for the realization of cement at a set price was deployed in order to fully and timely meet the customer demand in provincial and district centers.
Since 2008, there has been a decline in cement production across the world, but Turkmenistan continued to increase its pace and build new plants.
The country established its own cement industry for a short time, satisfying the needs of the domestic market. Availability of the necessary raw materials for cement production opens export opportunities for the local industry.
