A major private poultry farm is being built on the territory of the district named after S. Niyazov of the Dashoguz region of Turkmenistan, Trend reports referring to the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan.
The project is being implemented by a local Turkmen company. The total area of the complex is 6.5 hectares allocated by the state for use for a period of 99 years.
A significant part of the land is reserved for the cultivation of forage crops. The facility will supply up to 10 million eggs per year.
Provision of specialized high-tech equipment to the facility, ensuring the functioning of the production cycle in strict compliance with international sanitary and environmental standards will allow entering the foreign market in the future, the report said.
Turkmenistan has set a course for diversifying the local economy. Development has been achieved in textile and oil product industries.
Some 81 projects will be implemented as part of the program for the production of import-substituting products. Enterprises will be built for producing construction, chemical, household and other products based on local raw materials. At this stage, enterprises are being built for the processing and production of various types of meat and dairy products, fruits and vegetables and fish products.
It is planned to implement 33 projects as part of the state program for increasing the volume of exports of products manufactured in Turkmenistan. These envision the creation of new industries aimed at the development of the chemical industry, industry, light industry, engineering, agriculture and food industry, and domestic pharmaceuticals.
