BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 18. The increase in provision of works and services in the transport and communication complex of Turkmenistan from January through July 2022 amounted to 112.7 percent, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
This was announced by the Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammethan Chakiyev at a visiting meeting of the government.
According to him, during the reporting period, the plan in the field of cargo transportation by road, rail, air, and sea transport was exceeded by 11.2 percent, and cargo turnover – by 9.2 percent.
The growth rate of services rendered by the Turkmenawtoulaglary Agency (Turkmen automobile service) amounted to 133.5 percent, Turkmendemiryollary Agency (Turkmenistan Railway) - by 111.2 percent, Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency (Turkmen State Service of Maritime and River Transportation) - 113.7 percent.
At the same time, the growth rate of the Turkmenhowayollary Agency (Turkmen Airlines) amounted to 120 percent, and Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency (Turkmen Communication) - 107.5 percent, the head of the agency noted.
