BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. Entrepreneurs from India purchased various types of cotton yarn from Turkmen production during trading on August 17 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports citing Orient news.

Businessmen from India purchased 221 tons of various types of cotton yarn on the exchange. The total amount of the transaction was 9.7 million Turkmen manats ($2.7 million).

Furthermore, according to the portal, businessmen from India bought the cotton yarn on the exchange on June 20 for a total amount of 18.4 million Turkmen manats ($5.2 million).

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
