BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 21. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree "On approval of the procedure of establishment of protection zones of railway lines and other objects of railway transport", Trend reports citing Turkmenportal.
According to the information, within the framework of socio-economic reforms, systematic work is being carried out in Turkmenistan this year to bring the regulatory framework of the country's transport and communication complex in accordance with the requirements of the time.
Commenting on the document, Berdimuhamedov stressed that in order to develop Turkmenistan's transport and transit capabilities, it is necessary to fully utilize the potential of modern railway infrastructure facilities and achieve further increase in the volume of cargo transportation by rail.
Noting that depending on the intensity of train and vehicle traffic, railway security zones should be equipped with various regulatory elements, the President gave Mammetkhan Chakiyev, Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, a number of specific instructions.
