BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 21. "Turkmen ojagy" enterprise, located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan, has published indicators of textile production from January through November 2022, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
During this period, the company produced 371,300 linear meters of cotton insulation, 360,000 of which were exported to Kyrgyzstan.
Furthermore, for 11 months of this year, the enterprise produced 602 tons of cotton wool, 428 tons of which were exported to Türkiye.
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
