BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19. Production figures for 2022 of a cotton gin plant located in the Kerki district of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan have been published, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, during the reporting period, the enterprise processed over 10,500 tons of cotton, while fulfilling the production plan.
The plant produced 2,800 tons of cotton wool for the whole of last year.
In total, the enterprise received over 14,400 tons of cotton for processing in 2022.
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
