BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 15. Turkmenistan has exceeded the plan for the manufacturing of food products for 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Annageldi Yazmyradow at an expanded meeting of the government held on February 10.
According to him, during the reporting period, the plan for growing vegetables was exceeded by 15.2 percent, melons by 9.2 percent, potatoes by 30.4 percent, and fruit and berry products by 7.2 percent.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chairman noted that the plan for the manufacturing of bread and flour products was exceeded by 2.4 percent.
He stressed that wheat is currently being cared for, and agrotechnical measures are being carried out, including fertilizing with mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation.
Agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. This is one of the most important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
The state provides targeted support to the development of the agricultural sector. In particular, the entire production infrastructure of the agro-industrial complex is being re-equipped and modernized, the chemical industry is developing, and modern tractors, combines and other machineries are being purchased.
