BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 21. Data on the export of oil products to Azerbaijan from Turkmenistan from January through December 2022 have been published, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the information, during the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported more than 352,700 tons of crude oil worth $245.1 million, which is 3.9 times more than in the same period of 2021.
Azerbaijan's imports of Turkmen oil amounted to more than 89,700 tons for the whole of last year in the amount of over $52.5 million.
At the same time, Azerbaijan imported more than 6,500 tons of lubricants worth $5.4 million from Turkmenistan from January through December 2022.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
