BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 28. Charjew district, located in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, produced 2,100 tons of meat and over 5,700 tons of milk in January 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, the production growth rates for the specified period of this year amounted to 2.6 and 0.6 percent, respectively.
At the same time, in the first month of this year, more than 4.1 million eggs were produced in the district, the growth rate of which was 7.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
Most of these indicators were achieved by private producers.
At the moment, Turkmenistan is doing a lot of work on the development of animal husbandry, increasing the number of livestock, manufacturing meat and dairy products, and strengthening the feed base of the industry. The improvement of local livestock enterprises continues.
