BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. The total amount of funds on settlement, current accounts and deposits of enterprises, organizations and the population in banks of Turkmenistan as of February 1 of this year amounted to 40.69 billion Turkmen manats ($11.62 billion), Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
According to the information, these figures are 7.2 percent more than on the same date last year (37.95 billion Turkmen manats or $10.84 billion).
Of the total amount, the share of funds of state-owned enterprises and organizations accounted for 26.28 billion Turkmen manats ($7.5 billion), which is 24.4 percent more than on February 1 last year (21.12 billion Turkmen manats or $6.03 billion).
At the same time, the share of funds of enterprises, non-governmental organizations and the population accounted for 14.4 billion Turkmen manats ($4.11 billion), which is 14.4 percent less than on the same date in 2022 (16.83 billion Turkmen manats or $4.8 billion).
Furthermore, the funds of individuals and entrepreneurs without the formation of a legal entity in the banks of Turkmenistan amounted to 4.32 billion Turkmen manats ($1.23 billion), which is 11.6 percent less than on February 1 last year (4.89 billion Turkmen manats or $1.39 billion).
