ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 22. Turkmenistan exported goods and services worth 15 million British pound sterling to the UK from April 2022 through March 2023, Trend reports.
According to the data from the UK Department for Business and Trade, this is five times more than compared to the period from April 2021 through March 2022.
Of the total volume of UK imports from Turkmenistan, according to the latest data, 10 million pounds (66.7 percent) were goods and 5 million pounds (33.3 percent) were services.
The total volume of trade turnover between the UK and Turkmenistan amounted to 52 million pounds in the period from April 2022 through March 2023, which exceeds the same previous period by 30 percent or 12 million pounds at current prices.
During the corresponding period, the total value of UK exports to Turkmenistan amounted to 37 million pounds, which is 1 million pounds more than the previous value.
Goods accounted for 15 million pounds (40.5 percent) of total UK exports, while services accounted for 22 million pounds (59.5 percent).
Among the main commodity groups that the UK exports to Turkmenistan are chemical products, general industrial equipment, aircraft and electrical goods, and the main commodity categories imported to the UK from Turkmenistan include inorganic chemicals, mechanical generators, general industrial equipment, metal ores and scrap.
