ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 30. The enterprise located in the Ak Bugdai district of the Ahal region located in the south of Turkmenistan plans to export its ostriches to the CIS countries, Trend reports.
There are currently about 2,000 adult ostriches and 400 baby ostriches on the farm.
Furthermore, every day the enterprise uses about 4 tons to feed adult ostriches.
The first hundred African ostriches from Türkiye were delivered to the farm for the first time last year, and favorable climatic conditions contributed to rapid reproduction, which led to successful breeding and adaptation of birds on the farm.
The cultivation of these birds actively stimulates the production of ostrich skin, meat and eggs, as well as the establishment of exports abroad.
Turkmenistan's first ostrich farm located on the outskirts of the city of Ashgabat was founded in 1997.
