BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. Turkmenistan has cut its imports of mechanical and electrical equipment from EU countries by 56.7 percent during the last year, the source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
Turkmenistan's mechanical and electrical equipment imports
totaled approximately 217.52 million euros during the reporting
year, a 7.3 percent decrease from imports in 2022, which totaled
234.79 million euros.
The highest import of mechanical and electrical equipment from EU
countries happened in December, totaling nearly 30 million euros,
while the smallest occurred in March, totaling 11.8 million
euros.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan's imports from the EU totaled 669.3
million euros within the stipulated time, 10.7 percent higher than
in the entire year 2022 (604.4 million euros).
Meanwhile, last year's trade turnover between Turkmenistan and EU
countries totaled 1.87 billion euros, 87 percent more than in 2022,
when it was one billion.
