ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 24. The Turkmenistan's 'Türkmengallaönümleri' State Association plans to build two factories for the manufacturing of bread and bakery products in Ashgabat city, Trend reports.
According to the official source, it is planned to build factories with an annual capacity of 15,000 tons of brick bread, 14,500 tons of national bread, 500 tons of bakery and confectionery products, as well as 600 tons of dry yeast.
The state association plans to consider all proposals from interested organizations in the second half of June this year, after which it is planned to finalize the contract with the contractor.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan prioritizes agricultural expansion and food security due to its enormous natural resources and favorable environment.
Turkmenistan's government has paid special attention to the food sector in recent years, aiming to reduce the country's reliance on imports and secure a sustainable supply of food for the population.
