ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 14. Turkmen specialists have been putting their heads together with the South Korean company Korea Meditech to explore the possibility of getting the ball rolling on the production of disposable medical products using local raw materials, Trend reports via Turkmenistan's official media.

According to the information, this became known within the framework of the healthcare exhibition held in Ashgabat.

The information indicates that South Korean company Korea Meditech will organize setting up the production of medical syringes from polypropylene. The initiative is part of the country's efforts to increase economic independence and sustainability in the health sector.

Moreover, in the spirit of teamwork, Turkmen specialists rolled up their sleeves and whipped up test samples of syringes. The tests confirmed the high quality of local raw materials for the production of medical devices, which opens up prospects for mass production.

Meanwhile, it’s on the cards that 60–70 percent of materials for future production will come from homegrown sources, which will cut the apron strings to imports and boost Turkmenistan's self-sufficiency in this arena.

To note, Korea Meditech is an innovative manufacturer and autonomous exporter at the forefront of cutting-edge medical device technology. Boasting more than twenty years of expertise in the sector, it delivers cutting-edge medical devices to both distributors and end users.
