( Turkmenistan.ru ) - Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abd-al-Aziz Bin-Ibrahim Al-Qader. The ambassador handed over to the Turkmen President an invitation from the king of Saudi Arabia, servant of two holy places, Abdallah Bin-Abd-al-Aziz Al Sa'ud, to pay an official visit to that country at any convenient time before April 20.
As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports referring to the Turkmen State News Service, during the planned visit, the dates of which will be agreed through the diplomatic channels, the Turkmen president is expected to visit holy Muslim cities of Mecca and Medina.
In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed the current state of and prospects for bilateral partnership focusing on cooperation in strategically important fuel and energy sector. The sides also agreed to prepare draft bilateral agreements on cooperation in the trade-economic and humanitarian spheres.
