Uzbek President Islam Karimov congratulated the Indian President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the country's Independence Day.
"I am convinced that the traditionally friendly and partnership relations between our peoples will further continue to strengthen with joint efforts and aspirations for interests of our nations," the Uzbek leader's greeting message to President Pratibha Patil reads.
In his congratulatory message to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, President Karimov expressed confidence that fruitful negotiations and signed documents during Uzbek President's official visit to India last May will contribute to further advancement of mutually beneficial relations raised to the level of strategic partnership.
President Karimov wished the Indian leaders good health, long life and happiness, and peace, wellbeing and prosperity to the Indian people.
