The information spread by some websites about cholera outbreak in the city of Tashkent and the Tashkent region does not correspond to reality, the Uzbek Ministry of Health said.
Moreover, the Ministry of Health has developed and implemented a comprehensive program to prevent acute intestinal infections in the country.
As a full member of the World Health Organization, Uzbekistan fulfills its obligations.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health sent the report to the WHO Regional Office for Europe and denied the outbreak of cholera in Uzbekistan, the message said.
