The foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia Abdulaziz Kamilov and Sergei Lavrov discussed in a telephone conversation on Tuesday, topical issues of bilateral cooperation, including the situation around a subsidiary of OJSC "Mobile TeleSystems", "Uzdunrobita" сompany, told Trend representative of the Russian embassy in Uzbekistan with reference to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to the source, Sergei Lavrov during a telephone conversation with Abdulaziz Kamilov said that the need for early finding mutually acceptable solution to the situation surrounding "daughter" of OJSC "MTS" in Uzbekistan.
The Russian side emphasized that this problem has become complicated in nature and it's need to immediately work together to find mutually acceptable solution to it.
As previously reported by Trend, on Monday, Tashkent Economic Court decided to revoke all licenses of "Uzdunrobita" - a wholly owned "subsidiary" of OJSC "MTS".
The court's decision taken at the suit of UzACI, which accuses the "Uzdunrobita" that its affiliates have worked without a separate license.
By calculations of the regulator, failure to pay license fees to the State caused damage amounting to 419 billion soums ($ 210 million), and affiliates for the period of work without a license illegally earned 306 billion soums (USD 161 million) on sales of services "Uzdunrobita".
"Uzdunrobita" Ltd. is going in the 10-day period to appeal the decision of the Commercial Court in Tashkent for the termination of licenses.
