Uzbek President Islam Karimov visited a number of facilities in Tashkent, commissioning of which is dedicated to the Day of Independence, on Wednesday, the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA) reported.
In particular, the President visited the new four-storey complex of Republican Specialized Centre of Surgery named after. Academician V.Vakhidov
The complex is equipped with all kinds of modern equipment used in cardiac surgery. It has a polyclinic for 200 places, blood transfusion stations, a special compartment for the treatment of children under the age of three years with congenital heart disease, the department of interventional cardiology and cardiac arrhythmias, angiographic operating.
There are ward department of cardiac surgery, hemodialysis and transplantation, clinical diagnostic laboratory and diagnostic rooms, intensive care unit and two operating rooms.
Unique operations are conducted based on the established developments of the center, methods of operations due to acute myocardial infarction, renal vascular damage, celiac disease, and vascular pathologies are mastered, service development of microsurgery and cardiac surgery is achieved. Center - the only hospital in Central Asia on the surgical treatment of liver cirrhosis and its effects.
President Islam Karimov also visited the new football stadium Bunyodkor.
The stadium was built in accordance with the latest requirements - designed for 34,000 spectators the stands divided into two tiers, a separate sector is provided for people with disabilities.
On the ground floor of the stadium there is a network of facilities for athletes, referees, coaches, football administrators, hall for press conferences, museum football club. Second floor includes three restaurants, a fitness center.
Particular attention is paid to engineering support of the stadium. Two video screens with size of 11 by 7.5 meters allow fans to see the game in its entirety.
Lighting equipment meets the requirements of FIFA, a modern audio system that allows quickly and efficiently communicate information to the audience, and video boards to display advertising are installed through the perimeter of the football field. The system of television and radio broadcasts on the air, commentator cabins meet international standards.
The head of state got acquainted with activities for children and youth sport school football at the football complex Bunyodkor and spoke with a group of young players in a stadium.
