The total volume of money transfers of physical entities between Uzbekistan and Russia increased by 33 per cent to $6.084 billion in 2012, the Central Bank of Russia said today.

The total volume of money transfers of physical entities between Uzbekistan and Russia increased by 33 per cent to $6.084 billion in 2012, the Central Bank of Russia said today.

In particular, the volume of money transfers from Russia to Uzbekistan increased by 33 per cent, up to $5.668 billion in 2012 and from Uzbekistan to Russia by 32.9 per cent to $416 million.

The average amount of one transaction from Russia to Uzbekistan hit $596 in 2012 compared to $602 during the previous year and from Uzbekistan to Russia - $1,742 compared to $1,616.

Uzbekistan remains the leader among the CIS countries in terms of money transfer from Russia. Tajikistan ranks second at $3.952 billion, Ukraine ranked third at $2.982 billion.
Uzbekistan was the leader in terms of money transfer from Russia among physical entities in 2011.

Around $4.262 billion were transferred from Russia to Uzbekistan in 2011, to Tajikistan $3.166 billion and Ukraine $2.607 billion, the Central Bank of Russia said.

The Central Bank of Russia said that data covers such systems as Anelik, BLIZKO, Coinstar Money Transfer, Contact, InterExpress, Migom, MoneyGram, PrivatMoney, UNIStream, Western Union, AziyaEkspress, Allure, Blitz, Fast Mail, Gold Crown, LEADER and Russian Post.
