An Uzbek delegation headed by Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov will pay an official visit to France November 6- 7, the ministry said.
The program of the visit includes the meetings and talks among the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development Laurent Fabius, members of the Senate and the National Assembly, as well as representatives of the state organizations and the business circles of France.
During the talks, it is planned to discuss the perspective areas of cooperation in the political sphere, the inter-parliamentary relations, as well as trade-economic and investment cooperation.
France is one of the main economic partners of Uzbekistan in the EU. The trade turnover between the two countries increased by 15.8 percent - up to $323 million as of 2013, the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade said.
There are 17 companies with French capital in Uzbekistan. The representative offices of the nine firms and companies of France were accredited.
