Alisher Shadmanov has been appointed Uzbekistan’s new health minister, said the press service of Uzbekistan’s Health Ministry.
Prior to this appointment, Shadmanov has served as chairman of the Uzbek parliament’s committee on issues of science, education, culture and sports.
As it was reported earlier, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Adkham Ikramov has simultaneously served as the country’s health minister since December 2016. After Shadmanov’s appointment, Ikramov continues his activity as Uzbekistan’s deputy prime minister.
