Retail trade turnover increasing in Uzbekistan

The aggregate retail trade turnover increased by 2.4 percent and amounted to 105.8 trillion soums in Uzbekistan as compared to 2016, the State Statistics Committee told Trend.

The biggest volume of retail trade accounted for Tashkent – 23.8 trillion soums (an increase of 5.2 percent), Tashkent region – 11.2 trillion soums (3.4 percent), Fergana region – 9.2 trillion soums (3.6 percent), Samarkand region 9 trillion soums (1.2 percent) and Andijan region – 8.1 trillion soums (2 percent).

Retail trade turnover of big enterprises rose by 14.5 percent and reached 12.3 trillion soums, catering enterprises – by 1.8 percent to 3.1 trillion soums during the period.

Retail trade turnover, including public catering, increased by 0.7 percent per capita and amounted to 3.3 million soums in 2017.
