Uzsuvtaminot JSC and the Singaporean Alpha Global Capital (S) Pte Ltd signed a general agreement on cooperation on the implementation of a project to install a system for water wastewater treatment and water production in the Karakalpakstan Republic and the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing the press service of Uzsuvtaminot JSC.

According to the information, it is planned to implement one pilot project with a preliminary cost of $6 million each in the settlements of the Karakalpakstan Republic and the Khorezm region.

Also, Alpha Global Capital (S) Pte Ltd will in the near future send technical experts (specialists and engineers) to Uzbekistan to study the project area, provide online consultations and take all necessary measures to complete the preparation of technical and economic feasibility study of the project by the end of the first half of 2021.

It was noted that since there are not enough freshwater resources in Singapore, technologies for treating seawater, salt, and wastewater are widely used to solve this problem. The advantage of these technologies is their energy-saving and high efficiency.

In addition, there are many local and international water companies, research, and development centers in Singapore working on projects to improve the quality of drinking water.
