The Uzbek authorities have begun construction of the fourth branch of the Gazli-Kagan gas pipeline, which will improve gas supplies to the Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Tashkent and Fergana regions of Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing the Uzbek Ministry of Energy.
At the moment, there are three branches of the gas pipeline operating in the direction of Gazli-Kagan. The first and second of them were launched back in 1973-1983, and the third one started operating in 2006.
According to the ministry, 35 million cubic meters of natural gas passes through this main gas pipeline per day.
