Uzbekistan’s Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine(NMMC) JSC produced over 80 tons of gold in 2021, Trend reports referring to the press service of the enterprise.
The share of the NMMC’s production in the total volume of industrial production amounted to 13 percent.
In 2021, the volume of production of NMMC reached 54.2 trillion soums ($4.9 billion).
The net profit of the enterprise last year amounted to 11.3 trillion soums ($1 billion).
Previously, NMMC separated into a joint-stock company and two state-owned enterprises. From January 1, 2022, the combine split into the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant JSC, which is engaged in the extraction and production of precious metals, the state Navoiuran enterprise, engaged in mining and processing of natural uranium and rare metals, and the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant Foundation.
