BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. Uzbek Ipak Yuli JSC bank considers the possibility of increasing the loan amount provided by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) up to $20 million, the head of the bank's department for cooperation with international financial institutions, Dilaziz Sultanov told Trend.

"Recently, we have signed a loan agreement with the IFC, nominated in local currency, in an amount equivalent to $10 million. The allocated loan will be used to finance projects of micro, small and medium businesses in the private sector of Uzbekistan, including women entrepreneurs," Sultanov said.

According to him, in addition to this agreement, since the beginning of cooperation with the IFC in 2018, the bank has attracted loans of $15 million equivalent in local currency.

Ipak Yuli bank has been operating in Uzbekistan since 1990. According to the analysis of the activities of commercial banks in Uzbekistan, the market share of Ipak Yuli Bank in the first half of 2021 amounted to 2.03 percent.

The bank's activities cover such areas as private entrepreneurship, corporate, retail and investment business.

The bank has 17 branches across the country.
