BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. Uzbekistan's exchange turnover has doubled over the past three years and reached 90 trillion soums ($7.9 billion),Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
This was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a videoconference.
The president noted that the number of goods sold at the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange increased three times over this period - from 200 to 627.
It was noted that 20 trading platforms of the exchange have been created abroad. Products worth $170 million were sold on these platforms from January through April 2022.
In addition, during this period, foreign companies began to supply products to the Uzbek stock exchange in large volume. Last year their number reached 1,274.
