BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. The Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed loan agreements for $500 million,Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
The agreement was signed within the framework of the second Uzbekistan Economic Forum in Samarkand.
ADB will also provide a $3.3 million grant for the implementation of a climate-adapted water resources management project in the Aral Sea.
The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan and the Public-Private Partnership Development Agency, as well as ADB, signed an agreement on cooperation in the framework of the project to modernize the Bukhara heat supply system.
Funds in the amount of $100 million will be allocated for the implementation of this project. The project will be implemented with the consulting support of ADB.
