BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19. Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC (Uzbekistan Railways) has announced about the resumption of train traffic from Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent to Russian Novosibirsk, Trend reports via Uzbek railway company.
According to the source, on February 2, 2023, Uzbekistan Railways plans to operate the first train after a three-year pause on the Tashkent-Novosibirsk route.
In 2020, due to the epidemiological situation in the world, train traffic between the two countries was temporarily suspended.
The cost of an economy class ticket starts from 1.7 million suns ($150), while tickets for a compartment coach will cost 2.6 million sums ($230).
Meanwhile, from January 19, Uzbekistan also resumes bus services to Russia, which were suspended since January 13 due to the growing cold weather. Buses will depart from the Tashkent bus station to Moscow.
