BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 9. Uzbekistan published data on the volume of footwear exports in 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The source said that from January through December 2022 Uzbekistan exported over 28.3 million pairs of shoes worth $44.6 million.
The value of footwear exports increased by $7 million or 18.7 percent, compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
During this period, most of the Uzbek footwear was exported to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of 11.9 million pairs, followed by Kazakhstan (7.7 million pairs), Tajikistan (6.9 million pairs), Afghanistan (608,300 pairs), Russia (547,400 pairs), and other countries (516, 700 pairs).
Furthermore, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover in 2022 amounted to $50.08 billion. This figure increased by 18.6 percent or $7.8 billion, compared to the figure for 2021. During the reporting period, the largest foreign trade partner of Uzbekistan was Russia ($9.2 billion).
