BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 15. Uzbekistan has shared data on the number of people visiting the country in January 2023, Trend reports via the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
According to the statistics, some 423,700 foreigners visited Uzbekistan in January of this year for tourism purposes, which is 2.5 times more than in the same period last year.
State Statistics Committee notes that citizens of the following countries visited Uzbekistan in January of this year:

Furthermore, some 5.2 million foreigners visited Uzbekistan from January through December 2022. This figure increased 2.8 times, compared to the figure for 2021.
Tourists from countries such as Russia (567,700 people), Türkiye (75,600 people), South Korea (19,900 people), Germany (17,700 people), India (16,800 people), Kazakhstan (15,511 people), Tajikistan (14,478 people), Kyrgyzstan (13, 569 people), USA (13,100 people), France (11,000 people), UK (10,500 people), Italy (8,800 people), Spain (6,300 people), and China (5,400 people) traveled to Uzbekistan in 2022.
