BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 21. Uzbekistan’s export value amounted to $2.08 billion in January 2023, which is 45.1 percent more than in the same month in 2022 ($1.4 billion), Trend reports via Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.

In January of this year, the trade turnover of Uzbekistan amounted to $5.04 billion, increasing by 42 percent, compared to the first month of 2022 ($3.5 billion). Export from Uzbekistan in January 2023 amounted to about $2.08 billion, while imports to Uzbekistan - were $2.9 billion.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan carried out trade relations with 134 countries of the world. The largest volume of foreign trade turnover was recorded with Russia (13.7 percent), China (10.8 percent), Germany (9.8 percent), Kazakhstan (6.6 percent), Türkiye (5.2 percent), South Korea (2.8 percent), and Lithuania (2.2 percent).
Meanwhile, Russia was the largest foreign trade partner of Uzbekistan in 2022. The trade turnover between the countries in 2022 amounted to $9.2 billion. This figure increased by 23 percent compared to 2021 – (18.6 percent of the total foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan).
In 2022, Russia imported from Uzbekistan some 541,900 tons of fruit and vegetables, textile products worth $1.26 billion, carpets worth $4 million, 105,300 refrigerators, some 146,700 units of TVs, etc.
