BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. Uzbekistan exported 8,800 tons of cabbage worth $2.3 million in January 2023, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
Te cabbage exports decreased by 47.3 percent compared to January 2022 (15,600 tons worth $4.6 million).
The largest volume of cabbages is produced in the Tashkent, Samarkand, and Surkhandarya regions of Uzbekistan.
In January 2023, Uzbekistan overall exported 67,500 tons of fruit and vegetables worth $58,400 million. Fruit and vegetable exports decreased by 11.3 tons compared to the figure for January 2022 (78,600 tons).
The main importers of Uzbek fruit and vegetables were Russia (28.9 percent), Pakistan (23.5 percent), Kazakhstan (17.0 percent), and China (9.8 percent).
In 2022, Uzbekistan exported some 150,000 tons of cabbage worth $39.8 million abroad.
