TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 27. Italian Eurotecnica intends to open a Fargonamelamine joint venture melamine production plant in Uzbekistan, Trend reports.
The corresponding Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Uzbekistan’s Uzkimesanoat, China National Chemical Engineering and Construction Corporation Seven Ltd (CC7) and the Emirati Amanat Group consulting company.
As per data provided by Eurotecnica, the company will use new Euro med 5 technology for the production of melamine in Uzbekistan.
“We have been working with our partner in Uzbekistan in order to make this project possible. Our Generation Five Euromel (R) melamine technology ensures this new opportunity will benefit from the best OPEX available to the market as well as the only know-how able to deliver our Total-Zero-Pollution promise”, Commercial Director of Eurotecnica Stefano Sassi said.
Meanwhile, the combined value of collaborative ventures and projects between Uzbekistan and Italy stands at 9 billion euros.
Moreover, the trade volume between Italy and Uzbekistan stood at $157.5 million during the first four months of 2023. The total trade turnover between the two nations reached $381.1 million in 2022.
Notably, exports accounted for $51.3 million, marking a substantial year-on-year increase of 27.8 percent, while imports amounted to $329.8 million, indicating a 15.5 percent decrease compared to the preceding year.
