TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 28. Uzbekistan’s Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant has extracted 2.3 million tons are gold-bearing ore as of December 20 of 2023, Trend reports.
As per data provided by NMMC, the overall volume of mined rock mass at the Pistali mine site of Uzbekistan’s Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant has amounted to 10 million cubic meters.
In 2023, the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine completed large-scale work on the implementation of a major investment project for the construction of a Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 6 on the basis of the Pistali deposit in the Nuratinsky district of Navoi region.
In particular, at the beginning of this year, the first explosive work on the opening of gold orebodies was carried out at the deposit.
By the end of the first half of 2023, mill blocks were put into operation at Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 6, which, in turn, made it possible to achieve the planned production indicators.
Meanwhile, in 2022, NMMC signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) which includes preliminary indicative conditions for financing.
The fund of EDB will be used to implement the NMMC's investment program for 2022-2026 which is aimed at increasing production capacity, and production efficiency, and developing promising deposits.
