TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 16. Kapitalbank’s (one of Uzbekistan's major private banks) revenues through payment terminals amounted to 1.84 trillion soums ($144.7 million) from January through February 2024, Trend reports.
According to the data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, Kapitalbank's revenues through payment terminals accounted for 3.8 percent of the total revenues of all banks in Uzbekistan during this period.
The total amount of revenues through payment terminals in the country reached 47.5 trillion soums ($3.7 billion) from January through February 2024.
Uzbekistan’s Aloqa Bank ranks first with the highest revenue volume of 8.3 trillion soums ($655.6 million) during this period.
Smart Bank accounts for the smallest volume of revenues through payment terminals in the country, with 230 million soums ($18,167).
Meanwhile, Kapitalbank boosted its net profit almost twice, by 77 percent, to 1.6 trillion soums ($126.9 million) in 2023.
More than 1.9 million residents of the country and 64,000 entrepreneurs and companies use the services of Kapitalbank; the volume of deposits by individuals and legal entities increased by 34 percent in 2023.
