Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. D.Khatinoglu / Despite the fact that the new report by the IAEA reflects a range of positive opinions about the Iranian nuclear program, still there are unclear issues, Iranian ex-President Mouhammad Khatami said.

IAEA's chairman, Mouhammad Albardai, delivered his report concerning the Iranian nuclear program to the UN Security Council on 15 November. The report stated that Iran implements all necessary cooperation with IAEA, but the official Teheran still continues nuclear enrichment in spite of UN demands.

Khatami said in the interview to the Iranian Farsnews agency on 17 November that the details of the report may cause for the UN Security Council to impose new sanctions on Iran. The current process and policy will not give positive results. We should propose such a policy that Iran can reach its purposes and the West gives its approval. According to Khatami the crisis in the region is harmful for the United States.
