Nearly 13.7 million barrels of gas condensates valued at about $610 million have been exported from the South Pars gas field's phases 6-8, the development project manager of the phases said here on Friday.

IRIB quoted Mohammad-Javad Shams as saying that the products have been mainly exported to the United Arab Emirates, China, Japan, Singapore, and the Netherlands.

"The South Pars phases 6-8 development plan started in October 2008 with the aim of producing 104 million cubic meters of natural gas, 158,000 barrels of gas condensates, and 4,450 tons of butane and propane on a daily basis," he noted.

"In the mentioned period, 17,900 tons of propane and 13,200 tons of butane have also been produced in the South Pars phases 6-8," he said adding that the sour gas produce will be transferred via a 504km pipeline to the Aghajari oilfield.

The South Pars gas field is located in the Persian Gulf. It is the world's largest gas field, shared between Iran and Qatar.

According to International Energy Agency, the field holds an estimated 1800 trillion cubic feet of in-situ gas and some 50 billion barrels of condensates.
