German ambassador summoned to Iranian FM
The German Ambassador to Iran was summoned to the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic due the murder of an Egyptian woman, Merva Shirin, in Dresden, Fars news agency reported.
Last week, 32-year-old Merva Shirin was stabbed by a Russian emigrant in front of her husband and son during hearings in the Dresden court. Her spouse, trying to protect the woman, received three gunshot wounds as a result of the police opening fire.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry protested to the German Ambassador about the incident and demanded the protection of the rights of Muslims, national and religious minorities in Germany.
