Salehi, Ihsanoglu discuss Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon developments

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu discussed latest developments in Egypt, Tunisia and Lebanon, ISNA reported.

The two sides also held talks on ways to deepen cooperation within the OIC member states and complete structure, programming and innovation in the organization.

Ihsanoglu who has visited Tehran on Saturday congratulated Salehi on his appointment as Foreign Minister and expressed hope level of bilateral cooperation would be expanded during his tenure.

He also referred to Iran's engagement in the organization's activities and appreciated the country's positive role.

Salehi on his part said the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to expand ties with the OIC member states.
