Iran ready to transfer judicial experiences to Iraq: Minister

Iran's Justice Minister, in a meeting with his Iraqi counterpart, said that Iran is ready to transfer its judicial experiences to Iraq, IRNA reported. Morteza Bakhtiari also appreciated bilateral efforts for exchanging legal and judicial agreements.

He said three agreements on judicial cooperation, criminals extradition and exchanging convicted people between Iran and Iraq are ready adding that he hopes the agreements could be finalized Sunday during a meeting between Iraqi Justice Minister and head of Iran's Judiciary.

Bakhtiari said that right now there are 302 Iranians imprisoned in Iraq and 184 Iraqis in Iranian prisons; he expressed hope that by signing the agreements such problems could be resolved.

The Iraqi minister also expressed his country's readiness for expansion of ties with Iran and added that legal agreements between the two countries have been approved by Iraqi government, which indicates Iraqi government intention to increase ties with Iran.
