The Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has paid tribute to those killed as a result of natural disasters over the past year at the beginning of his speech in the UN General Assembly Thursday, Trend special correspondent reports.

"This year's plans are to analyse the current global situation from a different angle", president said.

According to Ahmadinejad, human societies are yet far from fulfilling their noble desires and aspirations.

During his speech, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad accused the United States and West of "all problems of mankind" .

President prefaced all his comments with "Who....?"

"Who caused the first and second world wars? Who encouraged Saddam Hussein to attack Iran and equipped them with chemical weapons? Who used the mysterious September 11 incident as a precursor to war and to dominate the Middle East? Who is responsible for the economic crisis? Who abducted forcefully millions of people from their homes in Africa? Who created the wars in the Korean peninsula and in Vietnam? Of course the answers are clear...it is as lucid as daylight...can the flower of democracy could blossom from Nato's missiles, guns or bombs?", Ahmadinejad said.

The U.S. delegation left the hall of session of the UN General Assembly Thursday immediately after the Iranian president began his speech.

During the visit to the U.S Ahmadinejad is accompanied by Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, Energy Minister Majid Namjou, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mehdi Gazafari, Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare Abdur Reza Sheikholeslam.

The Iranian president plans to hold separate meetings with a number of world leaders as well as various American groups and the Iranians residing in the US.

It is Ahmadinejad's seventh visit to the U.S. since his first presidency (2005).

Last year, Ahmadinejad's speech at the UN General Assembly broke the scandal. He said the U.S. administration was involved in the 9/11 tragedy. The U.S. delegation left the meeting during Ahmadinejad's speech.
