Israel is "a cause of all difficulties in West", Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatolla Ali Khamenei said at the ceremony of opening the International Conference of Palestinian Intifada, Press TV reported.
Ayatolla further blasts the US for backing Israeli regime.
Khamenei called for holding a referendum on establishing Palestinian state and urged the US to recognize Palestinians' right for an independent state.
International community must stop Iran before it's too late, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu said in his speech during the UN General Assembly in New York last week.
"U.S. President says security of Israel is its red line. However, it must realize that Obama's red line will end with revolution of the region's countries," Khamenei said.
He also said that Iranian missiles and resistance on the Palestinian issue is not a threat to the Zionist regime, but the great threat for Israel is that the Islamic peoples do not want colonial domination in the region.
"If Iran is not stopped, we all will face the specter of nuclear terrorism and the "Arab spring" could soon become an "Iranian winter" and that will be a tragedy," Netanyahu said.
The 5th International Conference on Palestinian Intifada kicks off its 2-day work from Saturday October 1, 2011 here in Tehran.
Parliamentary speakers from 16 countries as well as delegations from 70 countries arrived in Tehran to attend the conference.
The motto of the conference is ' Palestine is Palestinian homeland.'
