The Afghan and Pakistani diplomats are on a visit to Tehran to prepare the grounds for holding an upcoming trilateral meeting between Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Foreign Minister Salehi said that the regional nations should themselves be looking to maintain their interests and the presence of foreign countries in the region does not help anything because they are merely looking for their own interests.
Afghan and Pakistani officials emphasized the strengthening of ties with Islamic Republic of Iran in their meeting.
